Finishing second in the Main but finishing first in the Championship was Justin Schulte. Justin has had both good and bad luck. He has had several nights of mechanical problems but kept after it and won. Last year he won the Hornet Championship and now the Thunder Car, is next year an IMCA Stock Car in his future?

I won my heat race Saturday here in dodge city . I started 3rd row outside in the feature, after a caution on lap 2 I was in a pretty good wreck. After the wreck was cleaned up I got to start in the front of the pack due to someone spinning me out. We ran a few laps and two cars passed me, with two laps to go the leader popped a tire and the other car hit the wall. I took the lead and led the rest of the way. I was just glad to finish the race after the aftermath of the wreck. It’s going to be a long week getting the car ready to go for my next race this coming Saturday august 1st.

We had a great run at Dodge City this Saturday. I ran second in my heat race and I won the feature. I started 3rd row inside in the feature and on lap two I was sitting in second place. After a caution and a couple more laps into the race I took the lead coming out of turn two. I led for a couple laps and another caution came out. After the caution a car passed me with three laps to go. We battled for the lead for the final couple laps and coming into turn 3 on the last lap I made the pass for my second feature win this year. My next race is this Saturday night July 25th at Dodge City.

Roland,
We raced here Friday night here in Dodge City . We went out for hot laps to get the car setup for the heat race and I hit the wall. I bent the motors mounts so with the help of my crew we jacked the car up, removed the motor mounts and had to straighten them. I missed my heat race which placed me in the very back of the feature. After several cautions and a spin out I worked my way up to a 5th place finish. I couldn’t have done without the help of Mike Decker , John Benish or my brother Brady Schulte. I have to thank these guys a lot without them I probably wouldn’t have been able to race after my driving error in hot laps.

Saturday at Dodge City Raceway Park was yet another successful night. I won my heat race from the second row inside starting position. This set me up to start the feature from the 3rd row inside. I made my way up to second place and battled back and forth with two other cars. When we came to the checkered flag I finished in the third position. We are getting our setup figured out to try and make us a contender to run up front every night. The car is ready to go for this Friday night at Dodge City Raceway Park.

Roland,
Sunday night I went to Liberal, Ks to race down there. I started front row outside and my heat race and as we came around turn four I was in the lead and hit my brakes to set up for the corner. As I hit my brake they went to floor and I couldn’t slow down I went over the cushion and hit the wall on the front straight away. This did some pretty bad damage to the car and I was unable to drive it for the rest of the night. I have a lot of work to do this week to get everything repaired so we can race here in dodge again this coming Saturday.

Roland,
I had a great night Saturday night. I won my heat from the 2nd row inside starting position. This lined me up on the outside row of turn 2 for the feature. I was in 2nd place on the first lap and we had a caution. As we lined up single file for the restart I took the lead coming out of turn two and never looked back I lead the whole race and we got our first feature win of 2009. It was a great night.

Roland,

Saturday May 23 went well again and Dodge City Raceway Park . I started 2nd row inside in the heat race and finished 1st. This set me on the outside row 3 for the start of the feature. I worked my way to a 3rd place finish. I missed second place by maybe a fender length. The car ran well and the crew helped me out a lot as I did not get to hot lap the car because of an issue with my yoke on my rear end. With the help of my crew getting that changed and setting up the car it turned out to be a very successful night.
