Mr. Jackson,

I’m one happy old man 75 thanks to Jackson Power Steering. As I told you I bought this tractor new in 1955. It’s had a loader on most of the time when I farmed and loaded manure out of a small barn and from packs of youngstock manure. In my younger days steering was no big deal but at 75 it was tough.

Installing was not bad. My Freeman loader’s spool valve had a pipe welded between the base to the reserve tank. Cutting that out and welding in couplings was the toughest. But the end result was worth it all.

Thanks
Fred A. Will

Roland,

Just wanted to say thanks, you have a great product! We had no problems with the install at all. I had already made the power steering pump brackets last week (though I redesigned them today), so we had a headstart, but we still were able to make quick work of it. We started around 9:00 this morning, measured for the power steering lines, went to town and had them made. We actually started work around 10:30 took a test drive around 2:30- even had enough time to lay rows for our garden this evening. I still need to build a new alternator bracket, but everything works and lines up really well with the one belt system. Oh, and yes you can turn from far left to far right with one finger- father-in-law says it was money well spent.

Thanks A Lot!
Merle Hughes

Jimmy Flint’s 800 Ford has a power steering pump to power the steering unit. Jimmy was one of the first to install a power steering pump on his tractor. Until then, JPS power steering units were powered by the front mounted loader pump.

Rick Meyers’ 850 was the first 800 Series Ford to get a Jackson Power Steering unit. That was in 1999. I build steering units to last and to date, I do not know of one that has failed. My thanks to Rick for the picture and kind words.
