Allen Waddell’s tractor was the first 8N Funk to receive a Jackson Power Steering Unit. As you can see, Allen is enjoying steering his 8n with Wagner loader into a pile of dirt. Thanks to Allen for an interesting picture.

One of the most enjoyable projects for me was installing power steering on a Pinzgauer Swiss Army Vehicle. Craig Sanders of Texas Pinzgauer (www.texaspinzgauer.com) contacted me to ask if I was up to installing steering on one of his customers Pinzgauers. I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough. So, the Pinzgauer was delivered and I ended up installing a torque generator to assist steering. Then the Pinzgauer was loaded up for a trip to Wisconsin for a new set of Mat Tracks….and brought back to me to adjust the steering. While the torque generator is not legal to install on tagged vehicles, this Pinzgauer was going to be a duck hunting vehiclein the swamps south of Huston, Texas. I must say that the torque generator performed well. The steering was effortless and the owner of the Pinzgauer was very happy with his hunting vehicle.
Roland, I hope the picture arrived, I am not great at this electronic stuff. I grew up in the 1950’s on Olivers that my dad owned without powersteering. Now, I can drive this with great ease, I have a bad arm and shoulder due to polio and have to do every thing with one hand and arm. So I appreciate this powersteering system because it allows me to do what ever I need and not become tired.
This is my NAA that I have owned for over 30 years. It was the very first tractor to have a Jackson Power Steering Unit installed. That was in 1999 and ten years later and much hard use, the steering unit is still as good as the day I installed it. Of course, since that time there have been many improvements to the steering unit. I have always valued Customer feedback which has allowed me to improve the steering unit both in making the instructions more clear, and making the steering unit easier to install. The JPS Steering Unit increases your tractor’s value and allows you to do your tractor driving tasks with ease.
Roland,
The power steering on my Oliver has made it a different tractor. Thanks for your help on the phone. You went the extra mile answering my questions while I installed the steering unit. If I can install this steering unit…anyone can!
Again, thanks…This is truly my “best buy”!

Zeb and his wife ask me to build steering for their John Deere 1050 utility tractor. I must say, I was excited to get my hands on this tractor as it was the first JD 1050 to get a Jackson Power Steering Kit. Since that time, the 1050 has become one of my “best sellers”. The JPS steering kit makes this model very user friendly as well as increasing the value of the tractor.
Rick and Lora Bachman were the first customer to install a Jackson Power Steering unit on their IH 300 U. I think you will agree that their tractor is well cared for and the power steering unit looks factory. I appreciate Rick sending me a picture of his completed installition.

I finished installing your power steering unit on my 1964 Ford 4000, it works wonderfully. With the one arm Ford loader I had to install a GM power steering pump instead of a Priority valve. (I tried to get a couple of pictures of it, however, their kind of dark) I’ve had full Hydraulic steering on Combines and John Deere tractors before, but none worked any better than your unit.
PS I’m glad I waited for you to recover and build my unit.
May God Bless You and give you a complete recovery.
