Certainly an improvement to the steering.
Thank you,

I just wanted to tell and show you that my cousin Bernie and I did get the power steering unit installed on my 860 Ford tractor with a loader attached. We finished it last week and it works great. I can only operate the tractor with one arm so having power steering is a real benefit. Hauled the tractor down to my farm now and can’t wait to start using it there. We were able to put it on without removing the loader which made the installation a little unhandy but eventually everything worked out. Thank you for your advice while we were doing the installation.
A video is attached.

Some people aren’t going to understand this. I’m pretty impressed with this hydro-static steering kit. Some people might not think it is such a big deal, but it really kind of is. If you’ve ever chopped up an entire tree and needed to get it out of the woods where a car wouldn’t go. If you’ve ever worked on hydraulics, if you’ve ever driven one of those early model tractors with a front loader and no power steering, you’ll understand. Turning this tractor with this much weight in the front, effortlessly with one hand was unheard of. This thing took me about 2 1/2 hours to install which is actually pretty darn good. I’m crediting that to the design and the way the kit is set up. I’ve spent much longer dealing with hydraulic setups on many other things. Overall, a seriously good kit and a great way to make those old tractors useful again. 🙂
