Hi Roland… finally getting around to sending you a picture of my tractor after installing the power steering. It is fantastic! It is now fun to use the tractor and it saves me work, instead of being work to use it like it was before. I put it to work right away… the pictures are from a little logging operation when I went into the forest and cut logs for the vigas on the house I am building. I will try to get another picture at the house where I am using the tractor with the adobe block building process. Your power steering saved the day for me!

Roland,
The installation went flawlessly! It took me around 5 hours and except for removing the mouse nests it went perfect. I’m ecstatic on the ease of the steering. Great design. Needless to say its a more dramatic difference than I ever expected! I think anyone that orders a kit and has even moderate mechanical ability will be able to install it without any problem. All in all I’m thrilled with the way it works. Well worth the wait.
Thanks
Tim
“Thanks for the great system and the great service!”

“Your instructions were clear and I had no problems installing the steering unit. My 8N is very easy to steer now. I am very happy with the power steering unit.”

Mr. Jackson,
I’m one happy old man 75 thanks to Jackson Power Steering. As I told you I bought this tractor new in 1955. It’s had a loader on most of the time when I farmed and loaded manure out of a small barn and from packs of youngstock manure. In my younger days steering was no big deal but at 75 it was tough.
Installing was not bad. My Freeman loader’s spool valve had a pipe welded between the base to the reserve tank. Cutting that out and welding in couplings was the toughest. But the end result was worth it all.
Thanks

Roland,
I’d like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU for all your assistance and expertise on this project. You’ve helped me make the tractor quite usable with the 4wd and loader. The loader’s weight made steering a real chore with the manual system. Please feel free to contact me if ever I may provide other info about my tractor. I admire your knowledge and appreciate your willingness to share it.
I’ve attached a few photos of the finished product.
Thanks,
Gery Glover
Dale and Shirley Robertson were one of the first to install a JPS power steering kit on their IH 300U. They were very helpful to me in that they gave me valueable feedback on how I could improve the instructions and installing the steering unit. You see, feedback about what went right makes me feel good, but I would rather know what I can do to improve… to make the instructions more clear and the steering kit easier to install. I call it never ending improvement and I am greatful to Dale and Shirley for giving me honest feedback and sending me a picture of their tractor.
“Your 8N kit is an excellent setup.”

A note from Roland…..
In 1997 Daniel converted his 1951 8N to a V8. Later he added a four wheel transfer case and a Ford Bronco front drive axle. He also included a 3-speed Sherman transmission, but because of the four wheel transfer case mounted on the left, had to relocate the PTO lever to the right side of the tractor.
When Daniel asked Jackson Power Steering to build a steering unit for his 4X4 8N, we were very proud to be a part of this wonderful project. We think you’ll agree that this modification was very well thought out, and a testament to Danial’s mechanical abilities.
This is one 8N that is sure to attract lots of attention at tractor shows.
“I want to state emphatically that this was the best ‘accessory’ I have purchased for my Ford 850.”
